There’s nothing better on a hot sunny evening than a crisp gin and tonic. And, thanks to boutique distillery Sipsmith, there’s even more reason to indulge this summer. Sipsmith, the small artisanal gin label is quietly staging a revolution in the drinks world.  The award-winning company – which only launched in 2009 and still operates with just one copper Still from its distillery in leafy West London – is already stocked at some of the UK’s most prestigious gourmet retailers and luxury hotels.

Sipsmith comes courtesy of childhood friends Fairfax Hall and Sam Galsworthy, who together after years spent working in the British drinks industry became inspired by the prospect of making something more unique and flavorsome than the standardized fare on offer in hotels and bars.

Its USP is that it is the first copper distillery to launch in London in nearly 200 years and creates dry gin the way it used to be made: In small batches, using old-fashion techniques and high quality
