The internet, science and technology mean we have more information at our fingertips than ever before, but “How Much Of The World Can We Really Know?” This is the question posed by the fourth Yokohama Triennale, entitled “OUR MAGIC HOUR”. From August 6 - November 6 2011 this port city, from where sailors once set off to explore unchartered territory, will showcase work by over 60 dynamic contemporary Japanese and international artists, as well as pieces from the permanent collections of the Yokohama Museum of Art and NYK Waterfront Warehouse (BankART Studio NYK), the two main venues for the Triennale. Pieces considering the mysteries of myths, legends and the supernatural aim to broaden the mind and open up new worlds.
