Born and raised in Germany, To mas Maier trained at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and the atelier of Guy Laroche in Paris. He has worked as a designer for luxury fashion houses for more than two decades and founded the Tomas Maier fashion company in Miami Beach, Florida, in 1997 as an expression of his personal taste and experience. In addition to overseeing his own line, Maier is currently the creative director of the Italian luxury leather-goods house Bottega Veneta.
