friends and family started to request that she craft these for them. Three years later, in 1983, Zingg launched her brand SAZINGG.
The SAZINGG collection offers an assortment of limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces. Zingg describes her creations as a modern interpretation of classic designs. She adds, “I like freshness and color. I find great beauty in the combination of unique textures. Throughout all of my life and styles, whether it is my home, my designs, my clothing, the way I entertain, nature is at the forefront. I incorporate elements of nature in everything I do.”
Zingg’s stylistic signature consists of unusual and exotic combinations of color and textured
stones in each distinctive piece. “All of our pieces are set in 18k yellow or white gold and we use only the highest quality of both precious and semi precious stones. These are sometimes combined with exquisite Amazon Woods, Corals and Pearls. We want our pieces to be unique and to stand out from the crowd.” highlights Zingg.
All designs are crafted in the SAZINGG atelier in Miami by expert jewelers and artisans. In most cases the pieces are hand-made in limited quantities. Raw materials are sourced by traveling the world. Zingg explains: “We choose stones based on the highest of quality and we combine these with complementary materials such as Amazon Woods, leathers, and corals. Our customers expect a high level of creativity combined with masterful craftsmanship while using the best quality materials.”
Regarding the artisans she works with Zingg is full of admiration. She concludes”Our artisans are as unique and as colorful as our pieces. The design of the piece will dictate how long it takes to create it. Our creations can be utterly simple or extravagantly detailed. In many cases we push traditional methods of production, craftsmanship and techniques to accommodate materials. There is a true collaboration of artisans and designer to bring to life the vision of the design.”
