
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, jewelry designer Irene Zingg was the youngest of five children. As a child and teenager, Zingg was very close to her father, a successful entrepreneur and world traveller. “My father was a collector of all things that are beautiful, especially art and jewels. From childhood, I accompanied him to see or purchase jewels and stones for my mother. His excitement and deep appreciation for the inherent beauty found in precious stones was definitely contagious” Zingg explains.
In 1980, Irene Zingg left her home in Venezuela and moved to Miami, where she reunited with a long-time friend who owned a jewelry design studio. No sooner had she begun creating her own unique designs, than
