In Paris, I went to see “L’amour, la mort, les fringues” (“Love, Loss and What I wore” by Nora and Delia Ephron, adapted and directed by Danièle Thompson and based on the book by Ilene Beckerman) at Le Marigny theater. I highly recommend it to anyone in Paris over the next months. For a woman it’s a must see and for men, it’s a great view into women’s psychology and how we respond to different situations at different ages. It’s hilarious, and the cast is wonderful and changes each month. I saw it with Sylvie Vartan, Mathilde Seigner, Tonie Marshall, Chloé Lambert, Marie Denarnaud.
Barcelona is one of my hometowns and I was delighted to discover “La fábrica de creación”, a project that sees several disused factories being refurbished into a total of 30,000 square meters creative spaces. The initiative encompasses Fabra i Coats, a multi-disciplinary arts space, a Circus Venue (La Central del Circ), Hangar for the visual arts, La Seca, an old mint that will transformed into a space for magic, art, poetry, a dance factory and a former textile mill, the Escocesa, which will become a visual arts center - a very exciting and thriving time for Barcelona.
The major of Barcelona has declared that in the coming years all unused factories will be transformed this way into creative spaces.
