While continuing Gripoix’ collaborations with couture houses, Keslassy has created a series of collections under the Gripoix brand. The collections are inspired by the rich archives of the house but fused with Keslassly’s own aesthetic, an aesthetic nurtured by a passion for fashion she has had since childhood. Says Keslassy: “ I believe it essential for the rejuvenation of my brand to merge tradition with my signature rock and roll flair. Essentially, with Gripoix I am realizing a dream. It’s an organic, romantic process that I love.
”Keslassy designs in her atelier based in Paris’ Third Arrondissement where Gripoix has its roots. She works closely with her team of artisans, visiting the workshop every day.
Every Gripoix piece is created entirely by hand by a group of highly skilled jewelers. Some pieces require well over a hundred hours to create, assemble, gild and polish. When it comes to the artisans she works with, Keslassy is fervent. “My artisans are the most highly skilled jewelers in this industry and are very dear to me. They work with the same passion, commitment and enthusiasm as I do. We are exacting in everything we do and absolutely no corners can be cut. This is a labor of love for all of us involved, something that remains vital to the nature, soul and ethic of what we do” she exalts.
