Federica Tondato was born in Torino, Italy and studied architecture in Milan, London and New York. Tondato opened Fedora Design in New York in 2000, producing rugs and tapestries. She sees carpet design as a form of architecture - graphic designs and interesting shapes give a sense of form and space to a two dimensional item.
