Bea Valdes’ big breakthrough came in 2005 when US Vogue declared her evening bags as “this season’s must have”. Since then, the designer, whose career began in interiors, has expanded into creating stunning beaded necklaces, and her popularity among stylish women around the globe has surged. Today Valdes remains faithful to her creative process, working in her Manila based atelier with local artisans who take things “one bead at a time”.
