Sinan Sigic, founder of Atelier Hapax, makes an art of giving beautiful but useless objects a new life. In his studio in Paris he receives clients who bring him items they love but no longer know what to do with. Precious gift boxes, shopping bags and ribbons from venerable luxury brands, a beloved person’s old handbag or gloves, a collection of dolls, a favorite book. Through the power of his imagination, Sigic sees new uses and forms for these objects. He turns them into lamps, games, necklaces, handbags, iPad cases.

The concept of Atlier Hapax was a lifelong ambition for Sigic. After studying communications he worked in event management and fashion. Born into a family of craftsmen, he naturally turned his career towards handcraft. After spending several years in various fashion houses such as Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Maison Martin Margiela, and Louis Vuitton, he founded Atelier Hapax.
