the stones for his pieces is akin to a mystical process. He explains; “With intention and intuition, we let life talk to us. Sometimes we find the stones and others come to us, they bring their own stories, their own suggestions, and also their beauty and rarity.
When it comes to craftsmanship, Gracia’s creations rely on tradition and heritage. “We follow a very traditional craft process, which has not changed practically in our land since the Roman Empire. We have our own workshop and use techniques learned from our grandparents.” Gracia works with two
artisans, both of whom have been working in this craft for over forty years. “They started as apprentices and live their life mixed with jewels. “ Gracia explains.
And yet Gracia and his artisans are never bound to tradition but open to experimentation. “We are also very open to improve and introduce new challenges, such as gold alchemy or new ways of interpreting enamels; since color is very important in our work which delves into the Mediterranean traditions.”
